Where was the political center of the Golden Horde?

The central political center of state education, which appeared as a result of the campaigns of Jochi and Batu to the West – the Golden Horde, was the city of Saray or Old Saray. This city was founded by Batu in the 50s of the 13th century just above modern Astrakhan at a distance of 130 km. It was the center of the political life of the Golden Horde. There the Russian Church opened its diocese. After Khan Uzbek moved his capital to New Saray, the old city died out. New Sarai was the capital until 1502, when it was conquered by the Khan of the Crimean state Mengli. Also the Bulgar city was an important center of the Jochi ulus.
