Where were the North American colonies?

In 1492 Columbus discovered America and colonization began. By the 18th century, 13 colonies of such countries as Portugal, Spain, France, England and others were formed in North America. Northern colonies were formed, which were called “New England”. Farmers’ economy and industry were actively developing here. The southern colonies were inhabited by the Negro population and were plantations. The mid-Atlantic colonies were built up with feudal estates and farms. Taxes were gradually introduced in the colonies.
