Where were the paths of the Vikings?

In VIII AD, the Vikings began their travels and military expeditions from the territory of modern Norway towards France (they entered the mouths of rivers), further along the coast of the Iberian Peninsula into the Mediterranean Sea, where they reached Sicily and even kings of Norman origin were there. In addition, the Vikings reached Iceland in the 9th century and settled near Reykjavik around 874 AD. At the end of the 10th century, they reached Greenland, by 986 AD they sailed to the shores of North America – to the island of Newfoundland. This became their furthest expedition.
