Where, when and by whom was the first spaceship built?

The very first spacecraft that put a person into low-earth orbit was Vostok-1. In April 1961, he lifted Yuri Gagarin into space. This ship was designed in the USSR by the designer Ivanovsky under the direct supervision of Korolev. This ship was created at OKB-1 in great secrecy. The ships of the Vostok series themselves were designed not only for space flights, but also for reconnaissance and cartographic activities. There were six devices of this class in total.
