Which forces supported the king and which parliament in the English Revolution?

The king was supported by representatives of the feudal elite: landlords (“cavaliers”) and the state church. They wanted to keep their privileges, their place, and their income. On the other side was the Parliament, the representative of the progressive masses. Some of them were called “round-headed” for their unusual hairstyle (the most famous round-headed – Oliver Cromwell). He was supported by industrialists, yeomen, and part of the nobility. In essence, the English Revolution was a war between an overgrown bourgeoisie and a dying feudalism.
