Which of the ancient animals could have been human ancestors?

Having studied the structural features of humans and other mammals, such as the nervous and respiratory systems, skeletal structure, blood circulation and digestion, it can be concluded that they are similar. The most similar are primates. The closest are gorillas, orangutans and chimpanzees living in Africa. From this follows the conclusion – that, most likely, man descended from monkeys.
