Which of the heroes of Rome do you know?

One of the outstanding heroes of Rome is the undeservedly forgotten commander Scipio Africanus. This man fought the second Second Punic War against Carthage and eventually managed to defeat the great Hannibal. This man took part in the Battle of Cannes and survived. Then he was still a young man and did not hold a high position. Since then, he began to collect information about Hannibal’s tactics. Later, when he was elected consul, this information was very useful to him. Ultimately, he defeated Hannibal in the final battle of Zama.

This man took part in other wars, in which he also won victories. However, his life ended unsuccessfully. He was accused of embezzling more war booty than was legally required. As a result, despite such outstanding services, Scipio was expelled from Rome.
