The following substances will react with sodium hydroxide solution:

1. NaOH + CuO = NaO + CuOH. Formation of sodium oxide and copper (I) hydroxide.

2.2NaOH + H2SO4 = 2H2O + Na2SO4. Sodium sulfate.

3. NaOH + CO2 = Na2CO3 + H2O. Sodium carbonate.

4.2NaOH + CuSO4 = Cu (OH) 2 + Na2SO4. Sodium sulfate and copper (II) hydroxide.
