Which parts of the Atlantic Ocean are particularly polluted? Why?

There are two areas of pollution in the Atlantic Ocean. The first, called the North Atlantic garbage patch, occupies a vast area from the Caribbean and Sargassov Seas to the western coast of Africa. The second, the South Atlantic garbage patch, is located between the shores of South America and Africa. The reason for the concentration of debris is the circulation of sea currents, which carry different objects with water. Garbage, getting inside the cycle, accumulates and can no longer leave the ring.
