Which parts of the world open to the Mediterranean?

The Mediterranean Sea is one of the largest inland seas of our planets, connecting with the ocean only by a narrow channel. The coastline of three parts of the world (or continents) is washed by its waters. The northern part of the sea is bordered by southern Europe, with heavily indented shores. In the southeast, the Asian shores enter this sea. And in the south, the waters of the Mediterranean reach the North African shores. Along the entire length of the sea, regardless of the part of the world, there are large ports, as well as beaches for recreation and tourism.
