Which Peninsula Florida or California has more clear days? Why?

The California Peninsula has more clear and sunny days, despite the fact that both peninsulas are located at approximately the same latitudes. This is due to two reasons: in the waters washing California there is a cold current, and in the waters washing Florida it is warm. The cold current cools the air and prevents it from saturating it with water vapor, since there is less evaporation at cold temperatures, therefore, there is less precipitation over California. Also, the Cordillera do not let the trade winds (warm winds) into California.
