Which regions were influenced by the three largest states of the Early Middle Ages?

The first major state of the early Middle Ages was Byzantium or the Eastern Roman Empire. It existed since 395 and during its heyday under Emperor Justinian (mid-VI) covered the coast of North Africa, partly Egypt, the Middle East, the Colchis Lowland, part of the Crimea, southern Europe south of the Danube River, the Balkans, islands from Cyprus to Corsica, the Apennine Peninsula and the south of Spain.

The second large state can be considered the Sassanid empire, by the beginning of the 7th century it covered the territory between the Indus and Euphrates rivers, in the south from Oman and Yemen and in the north to modern Dagestan (Derbent already existed then).

The third state can be considered the Arab Caliphate, which by the beginning of the VIII century AD controlled the territories from the Pamirs to Morocco.
