Igneous rocks were initially formed on the earth, which was associated with seismic activity. After all, when the planet was formed, it looked like a huge red-hot ball, where hundreds and thousands of volcanoes were active at once. And the planet has been cooling for hundreds of millions of years. Only after that, when liquid water appeared on the planet, the atmosphere was formed, then igneous rocks began to decompose, which is why sedimentary types of rocks first appeared on Earth. And after that, new, metamorphic ones appeared from sedimentary rocks.
