Which roots form the root system of plants?

The root system of the plant makes up the bulk of the plant’s body. On terrestrial plants, it is the underground part of the plant body, and the shoot is the aboveground part. Roots are branching organs that grow down into the soil. The root of the plant has no leaves, nodes, internodes and buds.

The root system consists of a root canal system (with a primary root) or fibrous roots (adjacent roots) with attached root branches and smaller roots with root hairs close to the tip.
