Which sections of the population are most affected by the plague?

The lower strata of the population suffered the most, since they did not have the means to protect themselves from vulgarity, and also did not have the opportunity to leave the lands where the plague was spreading. There are known cases when whole settlements died out during the plague, and they died out completely to the last inhabitant. It was easier to know, since rich people could leave the land and move to another city where there was no plague and thereby save their lives.
