Which states fought for control of the Baltic Sea in the 17th century?

In the XVII century. Sweden, Russia, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and Denmark fought for control of the Baltic Sea. By the beginning of the XVIII century. the Swedes controlled almost the entire Baltic coast. Russia did not forget about the need to return the previously lost exits to the Baltic Sea. Saxon Elector August II aspired to become king of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and gain control over Estonia and Livonia. Denmark’s interests were focused on the Holstein-Gottorp Duchy, which was controlled by Sweden. In September 1699, an agreement was concluded between Saxony and Denmark, and in November of the same year, between Saxony and Russia. However, the conclusion of these agreements and the formation of the Northern Alliance did not mean a lasting military alliance between them. Sweden also took steps to find allies in a possible war, concluding allied treaties with England and Holland. In support of her strong ground army, the Anglo-Dutch fleet, which was at that time the strongest in the world, came forward.
