Who are the predatory mushrooms of the zoopalag family hunt for?

These mushrooms feed on the smallest creatures that live in water bodies. Among the prey of mushrooms, there are unicellular animals like amoeba, insect larvae, microscopic roundworms of a nematode. Because mushrooms cannot move and actively hunt, they catch their food with bait, like a fish with a hook. The bait is represented by microscopic outgrowths that the victim absorbs.
