Who founded the Persian Empire?

In the middle of the 6th century BC. a struggle for power began in the Middle East. It was started by the son of the Persian king Kanbis – Cyrus II. First, he captured Media, and later expanded the territory of his state at the expense of Lydia, Babylon and other states of the east. In fact, he is the founder of the Persian Empire. The period of his reign took 559-530 BC. After him, power passed into the hands of Darius I.
