Who gave the opportunity to cross the Atlantic Ocean and reach the shores of America

Who gave the opportunity to cross the Atlantic Ocean and reach the shores of America like the ancient Egyptians in the middle of the 20th century?

The possibility that the ancient Egyptians could make a transatlantic voyage and find themselves off the coast of America was empirically proved by the Norwegian traveler Thor Heyerdahl. He and his team built a boat out of papyrus, as the ancient Egyptians did, and in 1969 tried to cross the Atlantic. However, the first attempt was unsuccessful due to flaws in the design of the ship. Heyerdahl tried again in 1970, and this time the experiment was successful. The boats were named Ra and Ra 2.
