Who invented the guitar?

The earliest mention of a stringed instrument similar to a guitar dates back to the 2nd millennium BC (Mesopotamia). The guitar received its modern form and device in the nineteenth century, thanks to the Spanish master Antonio Torres. These guitars are now considered to be classic. The first electric guitar was created by the masters Georges Beauchamp and Adolph Rickenbecker in 1936, and in 1950 Les Paul added a solid wood body to it (the first solid-body electric guitar).
