Who made the very first trip around the world?

The first round the world trip was made by the expedition of Fernand Magellan.

In 1519 he left Spain, crossed the Atlantic Ocean towards South America. He passed its east coast to the south, through a previously unknown strait turned west and went out into the ocean, which he called the Pacific.

I continued to move westward. In March 1521 he approached the Asian islands and gave them the name Filipino, where he died.

His ship “Victoria” returned to Spain in the fall of 1522 under the leadership of Captain Juan Sebastian Elcano.
