Who managed to make the first trip around the world?

30 years after the discovery of America, when Portuguese ships were already actively exploring the islands of the Indian Ocean, the idea began to arise among sailors that all the oceans were interconnected and that one could go to India not only bypassing Africa, but also if sailing westward. The first such trip was made in 1519. The expedition was led by the Portuguese admiral Fernand Magellan, but it took place under the Spanish flag. The admiral himself died on the way, and in the end only 2 ships out of 5 returned.
