Who Organized the First Crusade?

We can say that the first crusade was organized by Pope Urban 2. Then, in 1095, a congress took place, at which it was decided to conduct a major campaign to the Holy Land. Thus, in 1096, a large army of Europeans moved east. Ultimately, the crusaders were able to achieve their goal and capture the ancient city of Jerusalem. Several crusader states were also founded on the lands of the Muslims.
