Who was the first to reach the North Pole?

Reaching the North Pole was not possible for a long time, since travelers could not overcome the ice that covered the ocean. The movement to the Far North was slow, attempts were made to reach the Pole by ships, drifting along with the ice, or on any shield on foot and on dog sleds. The first to achieve success was the American traveler Robert Peary, who reached the goal in 1909. His team included Eskimos from Greenland, who knew well how to survive in the north.
