Whose interests did the levelers express? Who do you think was not happy with their program, and why?

They were opponents of the monarchy as well as the aristocracy. The levellers advocated the creation of a republic, that is, they defended the people’s sovereignty and the granting of broad rights to every citizen. However, the leveling program did not suit the more moderate Protestants, who, in turn, supported the king and the aristocracy, despite the fact that not all of them supported the upper classes of society.
