Why are cultivated plants less viable than wild ones?

Cultivated plants are less viable, since the conditions for the development of plants are created by man. Cultivated plants develop traits that satisfy human needs. For the favorable development of the plant, these signs may not be useful – they do not contribute to the adaptation of the plant to the conditions of its habitat. And the traits in wild plants serve for full development in specific habitat conditions. Therefore, cultivated plants are less viable than wild representatives.
