Why are fungi, lichens, bacteria allocated to a certain kingdom?

Fungi and bacteria are separate kingdoms of living nature. There are eight living kingdoms in total. Each kingdom has characteristic features, thanks to which the kingdoms were distinguished. But lichens are not a separate kingdom. They belong to fungi, but they occupy a separate group of living organisms, since lichens are a useful union of the kingdom of fungi and plants. Thanks to beneficial cohabitation, lichens are able to live without soil and survive in very unfavorable conditions. The favorite habitat of lichens is places with strong air pollution.
