Why are mosses classified as plants?

Mosses are plants. And although they do not have a root, and the stems and leaves are practically absent in the form in which we are used to seeing them, mosses are still classified as higher plants. They have a prototype of the root – rhizoids, with the help of which mosses receive water and nutrients.
