Why are plants called the green wonder of the earth?

Primarily due to the fact that most plants have green leaves and other parts of the shoot. They can be called miracles for various reasons. This may be due to the large variety of plants, beautiful flowers of some species, varied shapes, and more. Also, they are essential in nature, as they provide food for animals as well as oxygen. But our planet receives the bulk of oxygen (90%) thanks to unicellular algae, and not higher plants that cover the soil surface.
