Why are scientists around the world concerned about the melting polar glaciers?

The melting of glaciers is one of the catastrophic consequences of global warming. The fact is that human activities have left their mark. We have upset the balance of the atmosphere, in which a huge number of ozone holes have appeared. Because of this, our planet suffers from excessive amounts of solar radiation. One of the consequences of overheating of the earth’s surface was the abnormal melting of glaciers. Huge blocks of ice break away from them, turning into icebergs. If this continues, the level of the oceans will rise, and then some countries will go under water.
