Why are some lakes salty water?

There are fresh and salt water bodies. Fresh lakes are lakes with constantly changing water. This is because some rivers flow, while others originate in this lake. Salt lakes are closed lakes. Water enters them from rivers, streams, underground springs, which are often saturated with salts, but it does not leave, but only evaporates. Therefore, a layer of salt, mud or silt is often formed at the bottom of such lakes. Salt lakes are often found in countries with hot climates, near the equator, but they are not uncommon in the temperate zone.
