Why are sturgeon antennae needed?

Antennae in fish milestones (including sturgeons) act as sense organs. Usually, antennae are understood as filamentous processes in the fish mouth (they can be of different sizes). With the help of antennae, the fish can feel the bottom in the dark or in muddy water (more often found in representatives who are looking for food at the bottom). Also, taste buds are sometimes located on the antennae.
