Why are the offspring identical to the parent in asexual reproduction?

There are two types of reproduction of living organisms: sexual and asexual. Sexual reproduction requires two organisms of different sexes, their DNA mixes and a new unique organism is obtained. In asexual reproduction, there is no mixing of genetic material, since one organism reproduces itself. It transfers DNA that is not altered by other dominant genes in another organism. Therefore, the offspring with such reproduction are almost always identical to the parent. A genetic malfunction may occur, but then it will be called a mutation.
