Why are there monuments to some animals?

Monuments to animals have been erected in cities around the world. Most often they are dedicated to dogs. Many of them amazed with their devotion to the owner. For example, Bobby’s dog in Edinburgh and the well-known Hachiko in Tokyo. There are many monuments to rescue dogs. Barry the dog is in Paris, the fire dog Bobka in Kostroma, guide dogs in Berlin. Dogs have played a huge role in scientific and medical experimentation. A monument to Pavlov’s dog is erected in St. Petersburg. Other animals are also immortalized by man.
