Why are tree rings not visible in many tropical plants?

Let us first recall the nature of the formation of these rings. We know that they appear every year and thanks to this it is possible to find out the age of the tree. New layers in the tree trunk appear due to the growth of new tissues. This happens in spring and summer when there is enough water and sunlight for photosynthesis and storage of organic matter. This process does not take place in autumn and winter. Due to the contrast in the weather, we see rings. In the tropics, the weather does not change. Because of this, the rings are invisible there, since they are formed smoothly and constantly.
