Why are viruses classified as non-cellular organisms?

Viruses constitute a separate domain of the same name in living organisms. This domain consists of one kingdom – viruses. They are isolated from other living organisms as they have no cellular structure. Viruses do not have a cytoplasmic membrane, cytoplasm, and various organelles. Most viruses are composed only of genetic information and the protein coat that surrounds it. Because of this, viruses can show vital properties after entering the host’s body, since they are parasites.
