Why can it be argued that energy cannot be transferred from the Sun to the Earth by convection

Why can it be argued that energy cannot be transferred from the Sun to the Earth by convection and heat conduction? How is it transmitted?

There are 3 ways of transferring thermal energy: it is thermal conductivity, convention and radiation. In the first two methods (thermal conductivity and convention), flows of matter or its molecules are involved as an “intermediary” in the transfer of energy. But since there is no matter between the Earth and the Sun (vacuum), energy can only be transmitted by radiation (in fact, by photons of light)
