Why can’t indoor plants be watered with cold water?

There is only one difference between hot and cold water temperatures, and that is the rate at which the plant is hydrated. Hot water will hydrate the plant faster than cold water, but usually won’t last very long. Cold water will hydrate it slowly, however, but last much longer. Thus, cold water may be better for a beautiful green plant, while hot water is better if you need to hydrate it quickly. Using hot water on plants is effective against some pests and pathogens.
