Why can’t the globe be made as detailed as the map?

If you compare a globe and a map, the first thing that catches your eye is the difference in the form of presentation of geographic information. A globe cannot be as detailed as a map because these geographic sources of information have different purposes. The globe is a model of the planet, the main task of which is to visualize the Earth as a celestial body. In turn, the map is considered more informative, because it is easier for cartographers to deal with a flat model of the territory using a system of conventional symbols. In addition, on the map, you can see and analyze in detail a separate continent or country, while on a globe it is impossible.
