Why did amphibians of the Carboniferous period achieve biological prosperity?

Because in the Carboniferous period, spore plants reached the apogee of their evolution. They formed tropical swamp forests on the shores of the seas, and gave off a huge amount of oxygen, which was actually a paradise for amphibians. Nevertheless, closer to the north, these forests turned into monotonous thickets of pleuromea ferns, where amphibians did not live, and therefore their range was low.
