Why did Charles VII not save Jeanne D, the arch from death during the Hundred Years War?

The outcome of the Hundred Years War was decided by the Battle of Orleans. Jeanne D, by the will of heaven and the consent of King Charles the Seventh, led the French troops. After the victory, Jeanne began to be called “The Maid of Orleans”. In one of the battles, the girl – the commander was taken prisoner by the Burgundians. King Charles disowned Joan and did not help her free from captivity. The Burgundians sold the girl to the British who condemned her as a heretic and an adherent of the devil.
