Why did fires constantly occur in Rome?

In ancient Rome, fires often broke out. This was because the residents used oil lamps for lighting and braziers for heating. Burning coals fell from the brazier, and if oil from the lamps fell on them, a fire immediately began. The doors, windows and furniture were wooden. There was running water in Rome, but not every house, which, moreover, was too close to each other. That is why the first fire brigades were created to help solve this serious problem.
