Why did Germany become the birthplace of the Reformation?

Germany became the homeland of the Reformation because:

1) it was in Germany that the problems affected by the Reformation were felt most acutely;

2) the peculiarities of the functioning of the church – support by the church of opposing views;

3) a multitude of popular movements have emerged that want change;

4) the Church of Germany owned large land parcels, which they could manage and distribute free of charge to their supporters;

5) creation of reforms by Martin Luther;

6) the birth of humanism, especially in Germany, it flourished.
