Why did Great Britain receive the most colonies at the time of the division of the world?

The UK had a number of advantages:

The bourgeois revolution in the middle of the 17th century, one of its consequences was the strengthening of the British fleet in the second half of the 17th century to the level of the strongest in the world.
The British were expanding in North America, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia.
In the 19th century, Great Britain became the “factory of the world” and was the first to industrialize and create a massive steam fleet.
England was on an island, so its rulers spent less time on continental European affairs.
