Why did heresies arise and what were they called for?

The first heretical teachings appeared simultaneously with the spread of Christianity. Often they arose due to the wrong interpretation and understanding of the Christian faith, since there were no uniform formations yet, which would later become the Church. There were no unified and generally accepted texts yet.

In the Middle Ages and the era of revival, heresies were the reason for the abuse of church leaders. Many advocated faith for themselves, without an intermediary in the form of the Church with their formal rites.
