Why did Hindenburg transfer power to Hitler?

As we all know, Hitler was an incredibly cruel man and was feared by many, but let’s take it all over from the beginning. Paul von Ginderburg was originally the President of Germany and only after Paul died Hitler was declared President and Fuehrer of the German people for life. While still alive, Ginderburg handed over his power to Hitler. Hitler headed the Cabinet of Ministers in Germany, and before that he was appointed Reich Chancellor of the country, that is, the head of government. At that time, many were fighting for power in Germany.
