Why did Italy become the birthplace of a new culture?

Because Italy became the last stronghold of the development of ancient culture. In fact, even after the barbarians captured and destroyed the Western Roman Empire, Roman ancient culture continued to exist, although it was partially destroyed. Medieval culture is, in fact, to some extent an echo of the classical culture that Ancient Rome and Ancient Greece gave us. Medieval representatives of culture were able to “pack” a certain part of antiquity and bring it to us, which was reflected in the course of the Renaissance, which gave a new cultural breath.
