Why did Japan choose an aggressive path in foreign policy at the end of the 19th century?

Japan’s aggressive foreign policy was linked to several factors. First of all – the convictions and actions of the top of the state. Also, Japan had practically nothing, since it is a state on the islands. The conflict between Japan and China also played an important role. This became the reason for the incitement of hatred in the society. So Japan became an ally of Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy. The Second World War ended for the state with devastation and huge losses, both in terms of population and in finances.
