Why did life in the Archean exist only in water?

Many scientists believe that life began precisely during the Archean era, about 3.7-4 billion years ago. The first living organisms were either bacteria or archaea. It has not been possible to establish this exactly. Life originated in water, as this is the best place for the origin of life. Water is an excellent solvent for chemicals, where the first living organisms began to emerge. Only millions of years later, life gradually began to adapt to landfall due to the depletion and overpopulation of the aquatic habitat.
