Why did Moses become the leader of the Jews?

Nobody knows why Moses became the leader of the Jews. He was born in Egypt, which is confirmed by the Book of Exodus. When, by order of the pharaoh, all the newborn boys were killed, his mother put him in a basket and sent him along the Nile River. This was her last hope that her child would survive. Pharaoh’s daughter adopted him. he grew up and killed the overseer. After that he fled to the Midianites. According to the holy scriptures of the Jews, it was there that God turned to him and ordered him to turn to Pharaoh with a proposal to free the Jews.
